I’m Cathy Blachowski, the passionate founder of Yellow Leaf Candle Company, which I launched in 2023 after grappling with my own health struggles. For years, chronic migraines, allergies, and asthma made it impossible for me to enjoy store-bought candles. Frustrated by the limited options available, I decided to take matters into my own hands and began my journey into candle making five years ago. My goal was to create cleaner, eco-friendly alternatives that would allow others with similar sensitivities to enjoy beautiful scents without the harmful side effects.
After extensive research into the best soy waxes, self-trimming cotton wicks, and high-quality essential oils, I developed a range of candles that are free from dyes and carcinogens. My commitment to quality and creativity led to unique bestsellers like Bourbon Vanilla, which emerged from a happy accident during my experimentation. I’m always open to customer suggestions and love experimenting with new scent combinations, offering everything from classic Lavender and Eucalyptus Spearmint to the pleasantly unexpected Apricot Chamomile.
Beyond my business, I have a background in various volunteer roles and a deep passion for mentoring others. I believe in the importance of supporting my community, whether by offering advice to aspiring entrepreneurs or custom-making orders for special occasions.
